About me
My name is Rakaiya Azzouz and I am a freelance illustrator based in Manchester, UK. After completing my Masters in Education, I thought what better way to encourage learning than beautiful illustrations?
I have several books published, including the Sulaiman series by Alison Vaughan, and multiple works by Muhammad and Husna Sattaur with Little Faris Press. There are currently a few more in the pipeline, so keep an eye out!
My inspirations are Hayao Miyazaki’s movies and Dreamworks publications. I’m passionate about producing illustrations for Islamic works in particular, and I want to make pieces that inspire Muslim children everywhere! I love to create pieces that are inclusive of individuals with different experiences and backgrounds, as well as abilities.
