FAQs
What do you use to illustrate?
I have experience with a number of devices as well as freehand, but I currently prefer a Wacom tablet and digital media to create my illustrations.
What information do you need for the illustrations?
I will need:
Your writing draft
A few details about the target audience
The desired style
The number of illustrations and their sizes
How long do illustrations take?
Depending on the style, size, and complexity of the illustration, it can take anywhere from a week to several months to complete the work.
What can I expect from the process?
At the beginning we will always have a discussion to gain an idea of what your needs are and a rough timeline. Once we have agreed on the details and both parties are content, work will commence.
The work will be submitted in stages. Feedback is welcome and you can make up to three sets of alterations at any of three stages.
Stage 1 is the rough line work.
Stage 2 is the final line work.
Stage 3 is final piece submission.
What if I want alterations after work is complete?
Any alterations requested once work is complete will be subject to an extra charge.
When is payment typically made?
For orders under £100, payments are made up-front.
For larger orders, payment is made in two parts.
50% at the beginning of work.
50% at the final submission.
After payment is complete, the full quality illustrations will be sent over.
